This is a page for me to start talking about my life goals. I want a place to write these down, build them up, and put them out in the universe…
Short term goals:
- Be a size 8 – lose eight more pounds will put me at the top of my doctors acceptable weight bracket and in smaller pants.
- Stop spending money – wow it feels like I’m bleeding green at the moment and not for MSU.
- Get back on Pointe – I just finished an adult dance recital and am about to move up a class!
Savings goals:
- Visit Ryan in Argentina – goal is February of 2012.
- Build ‘put/take’ account – a years worth of expenses.
- Build an emergency stash of cash – start with 1 month of expenses.
Career goals:
- Finish counseling license.
- Relearn French – not really sure about the playing onto career but if fits better here.
- Start looking into building my own business – maybe consulting?
Life mission statements (still works in progress but the general idea applies):
- Work - assist people (individuals or organizations) through periods of transition.
- Life – continually strive for greatness in relationships with those I love.
- Life – make decisions based on long-term healthy pro-active strategies.
You KNOW I like “savings goal” number 2. I feel all warm and cuddly inside about it. But I am definitely giving you even more kudos for number 1.
Also, a couple things to think about re: timing. Summer in DC is winter here in Buenos Aires, which is totally a fine time to visit, BUT I want you to think about the kinds of things you want to do. We can fly to Bariloche at this time of year for skiing, but you can’t pay me enough money to go to Patagonia or Tierra del Fuego during the wintertime. Mendoza (wine country) is fine at any time of year, especially if you’re up for spas and wine (which I must admit that I am, at the moment).
I haven’t read a single thing in my Argentina guide book, so that’s all I’ve got for you at the moment. Other than some big, FAT! hugs…and maybe a besito or two…
